A NetBeans module that adds the item “Insert Date Time” to the file menu under Edit. When the “Insert Date Time” menu item is clicked it inserts the current date and time into the source file you are working on at the current position of the cursor in the following format: Wed Jun 11 17:21:46 SAST 200

i found a shortcut in options => keymap.
Ctrl-D Ctrl-T but it just outputs in one format do you know how to change format ?
using netbeans 6.7.1.

Thanks for this one, but how one can assign a shortcut to it, as the Netbeans 7.0RC1 does not see it under keymap section?
And how can be changed to include other particles?
